MadeForMums has published a nine-product Christmas 2026 gift guide featuring Hornby Hobbies model trains, Scalextric racing sets and Corgi die-cast vehicles for people interested in cars, railways, planes and screen franchises. The guide lists prices from £21.99 to £169.99 and includes products aimed at children, families and adult collectors.
According to the MadeForMums guide, its selection includes three Hornby railway sets: a Harry Potter Train Set listed at £79.99, a Santa’s Express set at £39.99 and two high-speed train sets listed at £169.99 each. MadeForMums describes the Harry Potter product as having steam effects, lights, sound, a figure-of-eight track and station buildings. The guide says the set is due to be available from mid-October.
MadeForMums’ guide also features four picks drawing on film and television properties: a Corgi Thunderbirds anniversary set featuring Thunderbird 2 and Thunderbird 4, a James Bond Aston Martin Valhalla model, a Shaun the Sheep quad bike and a Scalextric Fast and Furious anniversary race set. The guide lists the Shaun the Sheep model at £21.99 and the Fast and Furious set at £129.99. It describes the Thunderbirds set as marking 60 years of the series.
The ninth item in the MadeForMums selection is the Scalextric Rally Championship Race Set, listed at £129.99. The supplied source text ends partway through the guide’s product description, so it does not provide the set’s full contents or features. MadeForMums presents these products as gift suggestions; its guide does not establish that they are the only or definitive choices in Hornby Hobbies’ wider range.
A Range Across Budgets and Hobbies
MadeForMums’ guide brings together several product categories in one seasonal shopping list: model railways, slot-car racing and collectible die-cast vehicles. The guide may interest shoppers looking for a present for an enthusiast or families seeking a shared activity, such as a train set or a race track to use at home.
The prices listed in the guide span £21.99 to £169.99, giving readers an indication of the range of spending involved. Film and television tie-ins—including Harry Potter, Thunderbirds, James Bond, Shaun the Sheep and Fast and Furious—also position some products as licensed collectibles, rather than simply toys. The MadeForMums guide does not compare product quality, availability across retailers or suitability for particular ages.

Nine Picks for Christmas Shopping
MadeForMums groups its recommendations by interest, including film and TV fans, nostalgia lovers and car enthusiasts, and places the Santa’s Express set among gifts under £50. The guide presents the products as Hornby Hobbies’ 2026 seasonal gift ideas; it is a shopping guide, not a report of a new corporate announcement or a comprehensive catalogue.
In its product descriptions, MadeForMums names features such as lights, sound, track layouts and model details, and identifies Hornby, Corgi and Scalextric products. The guide’s introductory listings and linked shopping text give different prices for some products. For example, MadeForMums lists the Thunderbirds set at £39.99 but its linked Very.com offer at £37.99; it lists the high-speed train sets at £169.99 but gives £129.99 in their Hornby shopping links. These are price discrepancies within the source, not confirmation of current retail prices.

Prices and Product Details to Check
The supplied MadeForMums material does not provide an exact publication date, complete stock information or confirmation that every listed price remains current. The guide gives different headline and linked shopping prices for several products without resolving the discrepancies. Shoppers should check the retailer’s current listing for price, availability and delivery details before buying.
The supplied source text cuts off during MadeForMums’ description of the Rally Championship set, leaving its details incomplete. The guide also does not give age ratings, safety information or a full account of what is included with every set. MadeForMums describes the Harry Potter train set as due from mid-October but does not confirm its final availability. The guide does not include independent product testing or assessment.

Check Listings Before Ordering
Shoppers can consult the Hornby Hobbies, Corgi, Scalextric and retailer product pages linked from the MadeForMums guide for current prices, release timing, stock and full specifications. MadeForMums’ stated mid-October availability for the Harry Potter set is a future release detail in the guide, not confirmation that the product has reached shops.
Further information from the manufacturer or retailer would be needed to describe the Rally Championship set’s features fully. Until product listings provide clearer details, the MadeForMums guide is best used as a shortlist of gift ideas rather than a definitive record of current prices or availability.
